QPR ace Luke Freeman has admitted he’s been surprised at the impact Saturday’s opponents Leeds have made on the Championship this season.Freeman, who recently penned a one-year extension to keep him at Loftus Road until 2021, felt that the large influx of foreign players on their books – as well as the arrival of a new manager in the shape of Marcelo Bielsa – could make it difficult for them to be a serious contender.However, the Whites have been excellent under the Argentine and lie just one point off the leaders Norwich in the second automatic promotion spot.3

And speaking to talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams, the midfielder admitted he’s been shocked at how Leedshave fared this season.He said: Theyve got some unbelievable talent there, but theyve got quite a lot of foreign players on their books who probably aren’t that experienced when it comes to Championship football.“You’ve then got a new manager coming in, which could have made things hard to adjust too initially.Its lovely winning in August and September when the sun is out, but I thought to myself it will be interesting to see how they play in November and December time when youre playing a thousand games a week.I did have an inkling theyd drop off a bit, but theyre still in a very strong position and one of the best teams in the league for sure.”That winter theory from Freeman has been dispelled from Bielsa’s men, who have won four of their last five games.3

They are searching for a fourth straight win on Saturday against a much-improved QPR side, who will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Hull last time out.Freeman insists the pressure is off him and his team-mates, though, with the hosts more in need of a victory this weekend – with West Brom hot on their heels in third place.He added: Its more of a test for them, as theyve got a lot more to lose than us.Theyve been put on that pedestal and theyre there to be shot down.“We’re confident in ourselves and we know how much of a threat we are going forward.We relish these types of games. Were really forward to going out and playing at a packed out Elland Road against a very good side.”

Its obvious teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton , Tottenham will bloster their squad which will make it even more competitive next year. Life wont be the same as during Barcelona, Bayern and Ajax days when respective leagues were not competitive and were dominated by then coached clubs.
